Mind Magic: How to Shape Tomorrow’s Reality Today

Imagine that you can draw your future like an artist paints a picture. Sounds fantastic? Well, our reader Alexander from the German town of Ayl assures us that it’s possible. And you know what? He has proof!

Alexander shared with us an amazing story about how he… helped collapse the USSR. No, no, he wasn’t a secret agent or a political figure. He simply wanted teachers from India to come to Russia and people to be able to travel freely abroad. He sat, thought, dreamed – and a year later, the USSR really did collapse. Coincidence? Alexander doesn’t think so.

But if you thought his “future modeling” ended there, you’re deeply mistaken. He wanted to meet a philosopher – an entire Philosophical Academy was created. He wanted to meet a girl from the rock music world – a rock club appeared. And once he even transformed into a professional artist, although, by his own admission, he was “absolutely hopeless” at painting.

Rabbi Asher Kushnir responded to this impressive story with wise irony. “Of course, positive thinking works wonders,” he agreed, “but let’s conduct an experiment: try to model peace in the Middle East. Or, if that’s too complicated, try to live through the first year of married life without arguments with your mother-in-law. Now that would be a real miracle!”

But seriously, Alexander’s story shows us a simple truth: big dreams combined with hard work and determination can lead to amazing results. Maybe not always exactly as we planned, but often even better.

And remember: even if you can’t model perfect relations with your mother-in-law, you can always take the first step toward improving any situation. And that’s already something!
